A central aim of NORDEFCO activities is the more efficient use of financial and operative resources.
The ambition is that cooperation between the countries, with regard to joint procurement, development and maintenance of defence materials and equipment, will lead to increased cost-efficiency. At the same time, the increased use of similar materials and equipment will contribute to increased systems conformity and interoperability, which in turn will lead to increased operative capacity and efficiency.
Identifying and conducting joint procurement activities also lie within the framework of NORDEFCO activities and lead to technical and economic synergies.
