Published

Invitation to the Diplomatic Corps in Sweden

- The diplomatic corps in Sweden is invited by the City of Stockholm to send one representative from each embassy or international organization to attend Monday's ceremony on the occasion of the Minute of Silence for the victims of the April 7 attack.

- The ceremony will begin at 11.50 at Stockholm City Hall and end at approximately 12.15. The national Minute of Silence announced by the Prime Minister at 12 noon will be observed during this time. Dark suit (equivalent) is recommended.

- For practical and security reasons, the Protocol Department has arranged for transportation to and from the ceremony for the participants in chartered buses. We will be using a special entrance at City Hall and please note that embassy cars will not be allowed.

- The buses will be leaving from outside Riksplan 1, the entrance to the (old) Parliament building. The Riksbron bridge in front will be closed for regular traffic, but you may be dropped off and picked up there by cars with diplomatic license plates.

- Please arrive at Riksplan at 10.45 AM to allow for identification and security procedures. Please also register for the event indicating name and function at the address indicated below and please note that you must bring your diplomatic ID. Bags and other personal belongings should remain on the buses during the ceremony, but you may of course bring umbrellas in case of inclement weather.

- Participants should register at [email protected] as soon as possible. Again, please indicate name and function of the person who will be representing the embassy or organization!
