Education and research in the budget

Education and research is included in expenditure area 15 – Financial support for students; expenditure area 16 – Education and academic research; and ‘Liberal adult education’, which is part of expenditure area 17 – Culture, media, religious communities and leisure activities.

All appropriations in expenditure areas 15 and 16 are included in the ‘Education and research’ area. Appropriations under ‘Liberal adult education’, which are part of expenditure area 17, are also included in the ‘Education and research’ area. Appropriations for ‘Liberal adult education’ are presented in the table below.
