  • Government and social partners agree on ‘entry agreements’


    The Government and the social partners have agreed that ‘entry agreements’ should be introduced. The aim is to help newly arrived immigrants and long-term unemployed people to become established in the labour market, and to facilitate future skills provision for employers.

    What will we work with in the future? How will we ensure that adapting to climate change, an increasingly digital world and an ageing population lead to new jobs with better conditions? These are questions that the ILO Commission, which was launched in Geneva th1 21 August, will address. The co-chairs of the Commission, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and President of Mauritius Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, were present in Geneva.
