Tips on finding information via the website of the Government Offices
Below you will find some tips for searching information on the website of the Swedish Government Offices: www.sweden.gov.se. - This website includes the links to all Swedish Ministries' websites and has an A-Z search option.
At the top of the website you find a link called "Policy areas". By clicking on that link you will find the various policy areas of the Swedish Government Offices and which Ministry is responsible for a given policy area. It is also possible to use the local search function at that webpage. There you can search for policy areas alphabetically through the subsection called "Areas of responsiblity A-Z".
Another way of searching information at the website is to use the search webpage called "Search at www.sweden.gov.se" available on the top of the website under the heading "Advanced search". This allows you to search using other methods such as word search or choosing type of content from specific sources, etc.
Some further tips on how to find your way around the website are found under the link "About the website" along with a brief presentation of its structure.
If your question concerns a policy area that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for, you may also choose to use the FAQ section of the MFA website (available via the the right-hand link of this webpage).
If the information you are looking for concerns yourself as a diplomat in Sweden, or the Embassy you work for, you may also browse the contents page of the comprehensive Diplomatic Guide, or, if as an offical at an international organisation, the International Organisations' Guide, (available via links to the right).
Finally, it can be added, that the Diplomatic Portal website now also has been supplemented with an alphabetical search section intended for staff at foreign missions in Sweden exclusively.
