Participating delegations are asked to commit to concrete actions and present them at the Malmö Forum. We call these commitments pledges. To clarify what we mean by a pledge in this context, and as a source of inspiration, we will invite various experts to present proposals regarding pledges, says Stefan Löfven in a short film.

The purpose of the Malmö Forum is to jointly take steps forward in the work on Holocaust remembrance and the fight against antisemitism. We are asking the participating delegations to commit to concrete actions and present them at the Malmö Forum. We call these commitments pledges. To clarify what we mean by a pledge in this context, and as a source of inspiration, we will invite various experts to present proposals regarding such concrete measures. These examples will be presented in short films on the webpage and Instagram account of the Malmö Forum. The pledges of the delegations will be included in an outcome document of the Malmö Forum and will be followed up during 2022, when Sweden has been entrusted with holding the Presidency of the IHRA.

“I have personally promised survivors to do what I can as Prime Minister, and as a human being, for Holocaust remembrance and combating antisemitism. I intend to keep that promise. I therefore sincerely hope that the Malmö Forum will work as a catalyst for international cooperation and increased action in these areas”, says Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.
