Enterprise and industrial policy concerns creating conditions for more jobs and growing companies. The area includes conditions for entrepreneurship and enterprise – such as issues concerning regulatory simplification and supplementary funding, and developing and strengthening the innovative capacity of Swedish companies. The area also covers targeted initiatives in various parts of the business sector, state aid, geological and minerals issues, and information initiatives and advisory services to entrepreneurs and business operators.

Fact Sheet: The Swedish Government policy for corporate social responsibility
The objective of Sweden’s industrial policy is to strengthen competitiveness and create more jobs and growing companies. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-evident part of a modern industrial policy. In line with this, the Swedish Government has drawn up a more ambitious CSR policy.
Chilean State Visit ends
On the afternoon of 12 May, Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet left Sweden following a three-day State Visit. The President was in Sweden at the invitation of HM the King. This was the first State Visit by a Chilean president to Sweden. Several of the Government ministers took part in the programme. The purpose of the visit was to broaden and deepen bilateral relations between Chile and Sweden.
“Global Deal a win-win-win situation”

On 10 May, Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet began her State Visit to Sweden. The President is visiting Sweden at the invitation of HM the King. The Visit will last from 10 to 12 May and is the first incoming State Visit from Chile to Sweden.

Continuity and long-term thinking in ANDT work
In February 2016 the Swedish Government adopted a new coherent strategy for alcohol, narcotics, doping and tobacco (ANDT) for the period 2016–2020. In the new strategy, the Government takes further steps to increase activity in this area to achieve the objective set by the Riksdag: A society free from narcotic drugs and doping, with reduced alcohol-related medical and social harm and reduced tobacco use.
Conference with mock trial in the Nordic–Baltic regional division of the Unified Patent Court
On Thursday 11 February 2016, the Ministry of Justice, the Swedish Bar Association and the Swedish Courts held a conference on the Nordic–Baltic regional division of the European Unified Patent Court. Work is in progress to prepare and establish the regional division in Stockholm.

More Swedish export enterprises will compete for the largest global deals. This initiative, which is part of the Government’s new export strategy for increased trade and more jobs, entails a broader mandate for Business Sweden.
More Swedish enterprises to win international procurements
More Swedish enterprises will participate in and win procurements of goods and services at the major international organisations, such as the United Nations, international financial institutions and the European Union. This is one of the Swedish export strategy measures being launched on Monday.
