The Europe 2020 Strategy is the EU common strategy for growth and jobs that has been in place since June 2010. The aim of the Europe 2020 strategy is to stimulate the economies of the Member States and so create increased growth and more jobs. The strategy has three overall priorities that are mutually reinforcing: Smart growth: developing an economy based on knowledge and innovation, Sustainable growth: promote a more resource-efficient, greener and more competitive economy, and Inclusive growth: stimulating an economy with high employment and social and territorial cohesion.
