Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to visit the United States
On 6 March, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and US President Donald Trump will meet for talks in Washington DC. The aim of the meeting is to further deepen relations between Sweden and the United States, with a focus on growth, innovation and job creation. Another important area of discussion will be Sweden–US cooperation in external relations, defence and security.
"Our relations with the United States are important, both for our economy and our security. Through our broad cooperation we create growth and security for our citizens," says Mr Löfven.

09.00 Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg meets US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. Mr Damberg will be accompanied by a Swedish business delegation.
11.30–12.30 Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and the Swedish delegation take part in a lunch meeting in Congress with the Congressional Friends of Sweden Caucus.

18.30 Dinner at House of Sweden to celebrate 200 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and the United States.
