Ambassadors of Sweden to the EU

The Ambassadors Anders Ahnlid, Åsa Webber and Anna Jardfelt manage the work of the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU. Anders Ahnlid has the overall responsibility as the Permanent Representative of Sweden to the EU. Åsa Webber is his Deputy and Anna Jardfelt represents Sweden in the Political and Security Committe of the EU.
Anders Ahnlid has the overall responsibility for the work of the mission and as the Permanent Representative of Sweden to the EU he represents Sweden at the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper II) meetings.
Coreper meets every week and is the most important preparatory organ for the European Council. Coreper II deals largely with political, financial, justice, policing and foreign policy issues.

As Deputy Permanent Representative, Åsa Webber, represents Sweden in Coreper I. Coreper I prepares the meetings of six ministerial constellations:
- Agriculture and fisheries
- Competitiveness
- Education, youth, culture and sport
- Employment, social policy, health and consumer affairs
- Environment
- Transport, telecommunications and energy

Anna Jardfelt is the Head of the Section of Foreign- and securitypolicy of the Representation. She represents Sweden in the Political and Security Committe of the EU.
