In its report, the Defence Commission provides an update on the security situation and describes major changes in the security policy environment for Sweden. The Defence Commission also follows up on the 2024 Defence bill and the obligations arising from NATO membership and collective defence and assesses the current state in both civil and military defence.

In the report, the Defence Commission also makes proposals on how obstacles, primarily to military growth and rearmament, can be removed. The Defence Commission will also provide a final report.
