Statens musikverk
The agency is responsible for promoting the development of a professional music community. This means it is intended to serve as a resource for the music community by adopting and nurturing initiatives from the music community, coordinating and supporting cooperative projects of national interest and representing Sweden in international cooperation.
It is also required to document, promote, build up knowledge about and provide access to the cultural heritage of theatre, dance and music.
