The Board of Appeal for Education (Skolväsendets överklagandenämnd)

The Board of Appeal for Education is an authority similar to a court of law, empowered to hear appeals of certain decisions relating to the school system. The Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board are qualified lawyers with experience as judges. The rest of the Board consists of a senior education advisor, a chief school medical officer, a psychologist, a special needs educator, a school head teacher and a former chief legal adviser.
