State visits

Their Majesties The King and Queen will pay a State Visit to Poland on 10–12 March 2026 at the invitation of President Karol Nawrocki.

Their Majesties The King and Queen will pay a State Visit to Canada on 18–20 November 2025 at the invitation of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada.

Iceland’s President Halla Tómasdóttir is paying a State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of His Majesty the King. The President is accompanied by her spouse Björn Skúlason, Iceland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir and Minister for Health Alma Möller, together with a delegation from the business sector.

On 6–8 May 2025, Iceland’s President Halla Tómasdóttir will pay a State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of His Majesty The King. Ms Tómasdóttir will be accompanied by her husband, Björn Skúlason, and representatives of the Icelandic Government and business sector. The Swedish Government will be represented by several ministers.

On 19–21 November, HM The King paid a State Visit to Singapore at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Sweden’s Government was represented by Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard, Minister for Infrastructure and Housing Andreas Carlson, State Secretary Håkan Jevrell from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and State Secretary Miriam Söderström from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Around 50 Swedish companies, government agencies and higher education institutions took part in the business delegation arranged by Business Sweden.

Their Majesties The King and Queen of Sweden will pay a State Visit to Singapore on 19–21 November 2024 at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of the Republic of Singapore.

The King and Queen of Denmark will pay a State Visit to Sweden on 6–7 May 2024 at the invitation of His Majesty The King.

On 23–24 April 2024, the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his wife Suzanne Innes-Stubb will pay a State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of HM The King. The President will be accompanied by a delegation of government and business representatives.

Their Majesties The King and Queen will pay a State Visit to Mexico on 12–14 March 2024 at the invitation of His Excellency President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The State Visit from France will take place on 30–31 January 2024. President Emmanuel Macron will come to Sweden together with his wife Brigitte Macron at the invitation of HM The King.

In a telephone call earlier this afternoon, H.M. The King and H.E. President Emmanuel Macron jointly decided to postpone the French State Visit to Sweden.

On 24–25 October, the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, together with his wife Brigitte Macron, will pay a State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of HM the King.
