Update

The strategy was updated on 28 May 2026 in connection with the Government’s decision on a new strategy for the Folke Bernadotte Academy’s (FBA) work on peace and security promotion for 2026–2031. As a result, FBA’s mandate within the regional strategy for the Middle East and North Africa was terminated. In connection with this update, text relating to the so called Yemen window in the Middle East and North Africa strategy — concluded on 30 June 2025 — was also removed.
