Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson to receive President of the European Council Charles Michel

On Monday 16 January, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will receive President of the European Council Charles Michel in Stockholm. It is Mr Michel’s first visit to Sweden since it took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Time:
Place: In person and digitally. Journalists who have registered in advance may come to Bella Venezia (via Rödbodgatan 6) or take part digitally on Zoom. Entry from 13.15.

Practical information: Advance registration required by 12.00 on 16 January via email to Ellen Pileblad (see press contact below). Please give your name, the name of your editorial office, whether you wish to attend in person or digitally and if you are a reporter or photographer. Enclose a copy of your press credentials as well. Participation is subject to available space. Those attending the press conference in person will be allowed to ask questions first and then conduct individual interviews. Journalists who take part on Zoom will receive practical information via email.

During the visit, Mr Kristersson and Mr Michel will discuss the priorities of the Swedish Presidency, and support to Ukraine is a key issue. They will also discuss Europe’s long-term competitiveness. 

After the meeting, Mr Michel and Mr Kristersson will hold a joint press conference.
