Swedish Defence Materiel Administration

The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) procures, develops and supplies materiel and services for the Swedish Armed Forces, and supports Sweden’s capacity to contribute to NATO’s deterrence and collective defence. FMV has an important social mandate. It ensures that Sweden’s soldiers, pilots and sailors have the right equipment to be able to train and to defend Sweden in times of crisis. This involves supplying everything from helicopters, submarines and aircraft to combat boots, pillows , horse blankets, radar stations and armoured vehicles. It is vital that the right equipment is supplied on time and at a cost that allows tax payers’ money to be used as efficiently as possible.
