Expo 2025 – Osaka, Japan

Expo 2025 took place from 13 April to 13 October in Osaka, with “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” as the theme. Sweden’s participation in the World Expo and the joint Nordic pavilion focused on solutions for the green and digital transitions.

This participation was a joint initiative by the State and the business community. It was the largest promotional initiative in Japan of the decade and provided Swedish companies with major business opportunities. Participation in the Expo was a concrete expression of the investment in Asia that the Government presented in its strategy for foreign trade, investment, and global competitiveness.

Major potential for Sweden and Swedish businesses at World Expo in Japan

“Our participation at Expo 2025 will help create business opportunities for Swedish companies and boosts new investment in Sweden. It will strengthen the brand of Sweden and the Nordic countries in Japan, which is a key market and partner in an increasingly geopolitically challenging world,” said Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa.
