Minister for Defence visits Portugal

On 18 September, Minister for Defence Pål Jonson is visiting Portugal for bilateral talks with Portuguese Minister of National Defence Nuno Melo.
Regional security, continued support to Ukraine, current issues within the EU and NATO and defence materiel cooperation between Sweden and Portugal are the focus of their discussions.
Mr Jonson is also attending the Robotic Experimental and Prototyping Maritime Unmanned Systems exercise held in Tróia and visiting Beja Airbase.
His visit marks an important step towards deeper cooperation on defence policy between Sweden and Portugal.
