Statement from Ministry for Foreign Affairs on summoning of Russian Ambassador

On 9 March, the Russian Ambassador in Stockholm was summoned to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry summoned the Ambassador to protest against Russia’s extensive attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine on 6–7 March. During the meeting, it was emphasised that Russia’s attacks are a clear violation of international law, and that Sweden will continue to stand up for Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and right to self-defence.
