Maria Malmer Stenergard to receive China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi

“It is important that Sweden has a well-functioning dialogue with China, an influential actor in world politics, and that we have resumed the exchange of visits between our two countries in recent years. This gives the Government the opportunity to raise bilateral issues that are important to Sweden as well as shared European priorities such as trade and security policy,” says Ms Malmer Stenergard.

The two foreign ministers will discuss current issues of bilateral interest. Other discussion topics on the agenda include trade relations between the EU and China. Mr Kristersson will also receive Mr Wang for a meeting.
