Public social insurance schemes are very important for people's security and are at the heart of debate on loss of income in the event of unemployment, illness, occupational injury, old age and parental leave. However, there are other insurance schemes besides social insurance. The benefits in agreements between the social partners are the most important, but they are not the only ones.
