6. Defence attachés
Missions should request the approval of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs before appointing defence attachés. The name, date of birth and CV of the defence attaché should be submitted to the Protocol Department well in advance of an appointment.
A non-resident defence attaché seeks approval according to the same procedure as a resident military attaché.
