National Historical Museums

The National Historical Museums is tasked with preserving and communicating cultural heritage and providing perspectives on society’s development and contemporary society. The agency includes the Swedish History Museum, the Royal Coin Cabinet – National Museum of Economy, the Royal Armoury, Skokloster Castle and the Hallwyl Museum Foundation. The Swedish History Museum’s collection consists of Swedish archaeological artefacts and Swedish religious art. The agency also operates the museum activities at Tumba Papermill Museum.
