The Royal Dramatic Theatre

The aim of the Royal Dramatic Theatre is to nurture and promote the Swedish language and the national cultural heritage in the area of theatre. The Theatre’s repertoire is to be varied and include Swedish and international classics and modern works. Its history dates back to the days of Gustav III and has it always had close ties with the Swedish State. Since 1975, it has operated as a state-owned limited company.
