The Swedish fiscal policy framework Skr. 2010/11:79

This document describes and specifies the Swedish fiscal policy framework. It consists of a number of principles the government uses as a steering-oar in its conduct of fiscal policy with the aim to make fiscal policy sustainable in the long run and also transparent. Some elements of the framework are prescribed by law, others stem from the practice developed since the crisis in the government finances in the early 1990s.
