EU foreign and security policy

The Division for Foreign and Security Policy handles matters related to the EU’s common foreign and security policy, as well as defence related issues, trade and international development cooperation. The division is staffed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Folke Bernadotte Academy and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Ambassador Ingrid Ask is head of the division and Sweden’s representative to the Political and Security Committee.
