The Ministry of Climate and Enterprise is responsible for matters relating to the climate, the environment, energy, enterprise, innovation as well as radiation safety, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and outdoor life. The Ministry is also working to ensure the transition to a circular economy.

  • Five northern European countries conclude international arrangements on transport and storage of carbon across borders

    A European infrastructure for carbon capture and storage is underway. Today, arrangements between Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Sweden allow cross-border transport and geological storage of captured CO2.

    Recently Minister for Energy, Business and Industry Ebba Busch and Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell gathered leading actors in Team Sweden for a high-level meeting. The aim was to jointly foster better conditions for improved global competitiveness and foreign trade, and bolster Sweden’s position internationally.
