11.3 Title deed

All changes of ownership of real estate properties must be registered in the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority's (Lantmäteriet) property register within three months of the transfer of ownership. An application with the contract in original is to be sent to the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority. When the application has been handled it will be returned to the buyer. The contract must fulfil certain requirements such as clearly stating the cadastral, the extent of the acquisition, the purchase sum and be signed by both parties.
